KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Managing incoming calls and customer service inquiries.
To enter all the required demographic information and tests requested accurately.
Identifying and assessing customers’ needs to achieve satisfaction.
Maintaining solid customer relationships by handling questions and concerns with speed and professionalism.
Scanning and Filing Requisitions
Resolving customer complaints, managing database records, drafting status reports on customer service issues on a regular basis.
Maintaining accuracy in entry of all manually entered test results into patient files.
Reporting, when requested to by technologists all STAT, Alert, Critical and other test results considered to be urgent and to telephone or fax as necessary.
Promptly answering telephone requests for results or complaints or any other laboratory business and to be able to refer to appropriate personnel when necessary.
Informing the laboratory supervisor of any problems or difficulties encountered as well as relaying complaints to appropriate personnel.
Troubleshooting problems related to the functions of the laboratory including missing information, missing samples or requisitions and mislabeled specimens.
QUALIFICATIONS
Degree or Diploma in Healthcare administration is preferred
Relevant experience as a customer service in health care
Additional certification in healthcare will be an asset
SKILLS and ABILITIES
Exceptional verbal, written, and communication skills
Self-motivated
Attention to details and accurate typing skills
Ability to sell and promote
Ability to process information well
People oriented and experienced in rapport building
Excellent time management
