Mō Mātou | About Us

At ASB, we are more than a bank. We are a purpose‑led organisation that helps people, communities and our environment thrive together. Guided by our values of Care, Courage and Curiosity, we challenge the status quo, genuinely care for those we work with and serve, and continuously look for better ways of doing things.

As one of Aotearoa’s most trusted banking partners, we offer the scale and stability of a large organisation, while recognising the importance of each individual’s contribution. A key part of our future is investing in modern platforms that enable better outcomes for our customers, colleagues and communities.

Mō te Tūranga | About the Role

We are seeking two Customer Experience Owners (CXOs) to join ASB’s Customer Core Modernisation (CCM) programme, working within Modern Integration to deliver critical integration capability that underpins our CRM and broader core transformation.

In this role, you will lead integration focussed delivery squads to design and deliver complex integrations that enable our CRM ecosystem, including event driven workflows, building APIs, populating CQRS read stores for APIs, and building synchronization and conflict resolution flows between our legacy and target state CRM. You will own the end‑to‑end delivery lifecycle - from shaping and prioritising backlogs through to design, build, test and release - working closely with engineering, architecture and data teams.

These roles sit at a pivotal point in the programme as ASB scales delivery and continues its migration away from legacy platforms. You will actively manage interdependencies across CRM, integration and adjacent platform initiatives, enabling delivery at pace and avoiding siloed execution.

This is a hands‑on, delivery‑focused role, ideal for someone who is comfortable working in complex technical environments, driving outcomes, and partnering closely with Modern Integration to support current CRM priorities and future core modernisation.

Key Responsibilities

Lead integration delivery squads to deliver complex integrations that form a part of customer‑ and banker‑centric solutions that create tangible business value
Own, shape and prioritise squad backlogs, aligning work to Tribe and ASB strategy
Drive delivery decisions aligned to programme priorities, balancing pace, risk and outcomes
Represent the customer and banker in all squad activities to drive better experiences
Collaborate closely with architecture, modern integration, data and change teams to manage interdependencies
Create, refine and prioritise epics, features and backlog items
Foster a safe environment for experimentation, learning and continuous improvement
Measure and share outcomes aligned to Tribe goals and OKRs
Identify, manage and escalate risks, dependencies and blockers
Ensure delivery aligns with ASB’s delivery model, governance and risk controls
Ngā Pūkenga | About You

You’re a confident delivery leader with a strong customer mindset and a genuine passion for creating great experiences. You bring courage, clarity and collaboration to your work, confidently challenging the status quo to drive meaningful, customer‑led change. Comfortable turning vision into action, you enjoy delivering innovative solutions and helping new ideas move from concept through to execution.

With strong stakeholder management skills, you bring people together to achieve shared customer and business outcomes. You combine a solid technical understanding with commercial and customer awareness, using data and digital insights to inform decisions. Committed to learning, transparency, and customer obsession, you balance incremental improvements with bold, new initiatives.

You’ll bring:

Experience leading cross functional delivery squads in complex technology environments
Comfort working closely with engineers and technical delivery teams in integration‑heavy contexts
A strong understanding of modern integration patterns, with specific experience owning API and event centric delivery roadmaps
Strong capability in prioritising backlogs and managing delivery across multiple dependencies
Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
Resilience, adaptability and a pragmatic delivery mindset
Experience with data modelling and Salesforce platforms, is an advantage, but not essential.
