As a Customer Relationship Specialist II, you'll be pivotal in boosting customer satisfaction and loyalty while enhancing their financial well-being. You'll proactively identify customer needs and align them with tailored banking products and services. This dynamic role involves deepening customer relationships and managing a variety of cash and non-cash transactions in a supportive sales and service environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Proactively assess customer needs and suggest suitable banking products and services.
• Service, promote, and cross-sell deposit accounts, loans, insurance, and cash management services.
• Provide outstanding customer experiences that reflect Trustmark's commitment to service excellence.
• Safeguard the bank's assets while accurately processing all transactions.
• Accurately balance the cash drawer daily and document all transactions properly.
• Achieve quarterly sales and referral targets while delivering exceptional customer service.
• Conduct outreach calls to nurture existing customer relationships and engage potential clients.
• Follow the bank's guidelines, policies, procedures, and performance expectations diligently.
• Mentor and support Relationship Bankers and Tellers in their growth.
• Oversee the approval of various transactions and manage cash management operations.
• Supervise cash shipments and vault operations efficiently.
• Facilitate the origination of consumer loans.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years of face-to-face customer service or retail sales experience.
• Willingness to master Trustmark's consumer and mortgage lending guidelines.
• Capability to register with the National Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS).
• Basic math skills essential for processing routine transactions.
• Exceptional customer service skills with a strong motivation to learn Trustmark products.
• Successful completion of assessment tests related to customer service and math skills.
• Able to meet sales targets in a retail banking setting.
• Basic computer skills and a willingness to learn internal systems.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Excellent time management and attention to detail.
• Professional appearance and demeanor when interacting with customers.
• Preferred prior supervisory experience in retail or banking environments.
• Experience in processing consumer or mortgage loans is an advantage.
• Preferred 2 years of banking industry experience, particularly in a Relationship Banker capacity.
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions: Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods and use a computer. Ability to lift at least 20 pounds for handling coins.
