Position Summary

The Customer Service and Accounts Receivable associate with Sugarman of Vermont plays a fundamental role in achieving our ambitious customer satisfaction objectives. This position handles multiple priorities with ease, remaining on track and on time with responsibilities.

The Associate interacts with customers, vendors, and co-workers; is accountable for maintaining the sales area and providing support for co-workers. 

Essential Job Functions
• Primary individual managing a high volume of incoming inbound calls and emails daily
• Troubleshoot customer complaints, lost, or damaged shipments. Follows life of a complaint through its full cycle in as timely a manner as possible.
• Receive orders on various customer platforms and successfully enter them into SOV systems.
• Follows order through production to ensure accuracy.
• Invoice customers via portals, email, or other methods
• Receive and apply payments to customer accounts
• Deposit checks and electronic payments
• Field all collections and other customer interactions regarding payment
• Maintain customer complaints database and any related credits or deductions
• Obtain supporting documents for all customer deductions
• Review AR balances and provide reports as requested
• Scan and maintain digital AR records

• Comfortably work within our CRM platform “HubSpot”: Document activity, conversations, and opportunities etc.
• Ability to cross-collaborate within Sugarman’s departments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
• Comfortable working under strict deadlines.

Responsibilities
• Maintain and follow GMP’s, Food safety, HACCP, and FDA requirements.
• Compliance with SOV’s Safety, Food Safety, Quality systems, SOP’s, GMP’s and policies.
• Maintain customer files, i.e.: contacts, billing, and shipping locations etc. Through various customer and SOV software platforms.
• Assist sales team as needed and to the extent practical within the framework of current duties.
• Package and ship samples as needed.

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements
• Ability to lift (30 -70 lbs.), walk, kneel, squat, stoop, twist and reach overhead, bend, stretch, stand, reach, talk and hear during the entire shift.
• Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand, and finger dexterity.
• Ability to work in changing temperatures.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.75 - $23.81 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
