Description
This isn’t your average retail role. As a Customer Service Representative at Mico Silverdale, you’ll be the first point of contact and the trusted expert our valued customers rely on. Reporting directly to the Branch Manager, this role offers variety and hands-on involvement across all areas of the branch, with a strong delivery driving focus.
You’ll play a key part from the moment a customer walks through the door delivering tailored product advice and sharing your knowledge through to getting our products out the door delivered safely, accurately, and on time ensuring our customers have what they need to keep their projects moving and creates an experience that keeps them coming back.
Engage with customers face-to-face, over the phone, and via email
Recommend suitable products, process orders, and manage sales documentation
Carrying out deliveries across Auckland, often multiple per day navigating different site layouts and ground conditions (Full Class 1 NZ Drivers Licence is a MUST as you’ll be driving a company vehicle)
Merchandising and assisting with in store promotions and display setup
Monitor inventory levels, complete cycle counts and stock replenishment
Maintain cleanliness and uphold safety standards through general store housekeeping
Permanent full-time role based at Mico Silverdale offering 40 hours per week Monday to Friday with an ideal start time of 6.30/7.00am
About You:
To succeed in this role, you’ll be a natural communicator and relationship builder who puts customers at the heart of everything you do. You’ll be friendly, reliable, enjoy working with others, and ready to jump in wherever needed. Just as importantly, you’ll be confident and comfortable behind the wheel of a vehicle, as a big part of this role involves regularly driving around Auckland to make deliveries. Strong navigation skills, good situational awareness, and the ability to handle different sites and conditions are essential.
Bring a strong work ethic, approachable down-to-earth attitude and committed to delivering great service to everyone you meet
Full NZ Class 1 Drivers’ Licence is essential for delivery driving and operating our company vehicles
Strong attention to detail with excellent written and verbal communication skills
Confident using technology and navigating multiple system
Physically fit and comfortable with heavy lifting (25kgs) and manual handling tasks
Forklift experience, with a valid licence, is advantageous
Previous experience in a similar customer-facing or trade retail role
Knowledge of plumbing, building products or the construction industry is a plus
