We are a growing SaaS company serving the food manufacturing industry, helping QA, Food Safety, and Operations teams modernize their environmental monitoring and compliance workflows. As we expand, we’re looking for a versatile, customer‑facing specialist who understands food safety and quality assurance — and can help us acquire new customers while supporting existing ones.
This is a 4‑month contract role designed to test whether a non‑founder can successfully run demos, manage customer relationships, and close new business. If you thrive in fast‑moving environments and enjoy wearing multiple hats, this role is for you.
Position Overview
We’re seeking a hybrid customer success + sales + product feedback professional with food safety or quality assurance experience. You will run demos, manage a small pipeline, support onboarding, and help us close contracts equivalent to a minimum of 10 licenses over the 4‑month contract period.
This role blends sales, customer care, and product insights — ideal for someone who enjoys both relationship‑building and hands‑on execution.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Growth
Identify and qualify prospects in food manufacturing, processing, and distribution
Conduct outbound outreach (email, LinkedIn, industry networks)
Run tailored product demos for QA, Food Safety, and Operations teams
Manage a simple sales pipeline and track conversion metrics
Guide prospects through trials and close new contracts
Contribute directly to the goal of 10 licenses sold during the contract period
Customer Success
Onboard new customers and ensure smooth adoption
Provide responsive customer care and support
Build strong relationships with QA Managers, Food Safety Directors, and Plant Managers
Capture customer feedback and translate it into actionable product insights
Identify expansion opportunities within existing accounts
Product Feedback
Surface usability issues and customer‑reported bugs
Provide structured feedback to improve workflows and user experience
Help refine demo scripts, onboarding materials, and documentation
Required Qualifications
Experience in food safety, quality assurance, or food manufacturing operations
Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
Comfortable running demos and speaking with technical and non‑technical stakeholders
Organized and self‑directed, with the ability to manage follow‑ups and pipeline tasks
Customer‑centric mindset with empathy and professionalism
Ability to translate customer needs into product insights
Nice-to-Have
Experience with HACCP, SQF, BRCGS, GFSI, or regulatory compliance
Prior work in food production, QA, sanitation, or environmental monitoring
Experience in SaaS, customer success, or sales roles
Familiarity with CRM tools or customer success platforms
Language proficiency in French and/or German (an asset for supporting multinational or bilingual clients)
Compensation
Hourly Rate: Starting at CAD $35/hr
Performance Bonus: 8–10% of first-year revenue for each customer closed
Contract Length: 4 months, with potential for extension or full-time conversion
What Success Looks Like (First 4 Months)
Month 1: Learn product, run initial demos, build early pipeline
Month 2: Increase demo volume, convert early trials, close 2–3 licenses
Month 3: Own full sales cycle, close 3–4 licenses
Month 4: Final push to reach 10 total licenses sold
Pay: From $35.00 per hour
