Customer Technology Advisor | Solution Application Architect
Your Role and Responsibilities
The Technical Practice Specialist provides certified, technology-specific deep expertise in support of sales engagements. Works in tandem with the KD Consult Partner/AP and Account Management Partner on targeted opportunities and customers bringing their depth of technical/solution expertise. Develops technical or solution conversations delivering unique differentiated value to include show-and-tell methods (e.g., demos, presentations) with/for the customer to establish our credibility and eminence.
This billable role is supporting practice-specific Consulting, Advisory, Architecture activities in Sales, Pre-Sales & Delivery, working closely with the Account Management Partner and/or Consult Partner on the account. As the technical practice solution expert, you will be responsible for bringing together the breath of Kyndryl’s technical and solution expertise to develop profitable deals. You will have an end-to-end knowledge of the practice that you are aligned plus one to many subdomains within that practice. Your technical expertise in focus domains may be achieved through external certifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with Clients to understand their Requirements / Existing Architecture / Gaps.
- Lead, Design and implement Proof of Concepts & Pilots to demonstrate the solution to Clients /prospects.
- Estimate Engineering Efforts for several stages of Project Life Cycle and Prepare Client Proposals
- Deliver Architectural Artifacts and ensure Enterprise wide Architectural principles are maintained in the solution.
- Conduct Requirement gathering workshops and come up with a target architecture meeting all aspects of client requirements including Functional, non - functional, Security etc. Document trade offs of one solution over another
- Advising and Shaping Client Requirements to produce high level designs and translating them to Data Architecture solutions in response to opportunities and requirements from Customers and Partners.
- Propose the modernisation of legacy data systems / migration to cloud-based architectures.
- Provides certified, technology-specific deep expertise supporting sales
- Possess strong technical and business value aptitude for practice services domain(s).
- Demonstrated customer-facing, presentation, written communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Mastery to articulate the technical benefits of Kyndryl’s capabilities/offerings matching customer needs
- Lead internal coordinate of the entire string of pre-sales processes including quality/compliance verification and quality assurance checks for proposal releasing (e.g., Request for Proposal (RFP)/Request for Information (RFI) and other technical questionnaires, etc) ensuring alignment with Kyndryl best practices
- Capability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to generate a winning response and optional technical solution
- Also, Responsible for Prospecting & Qualifying leads, do the relevant Product / Market Research independently, in response to Customer’s requirement / Pain Point.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Experience:
- Experience in designing Software Architectures with Architectural patterns such as Microservices, SOA, Event driven architectures, Dockers / Containers etc.
- Experience in Software Development Methodologies such as Agile / Scrum etc.
- Good understanding of Containers and Container Orchestration Technology such as Docker / Kubernetes with Cloud platforms exposure like AWS, Azure, GCP.
- Experience in MERN (or similar stack) / API Framework / Programming languages such as Java / J2EE, Python etc. / experience with Web / Mobile Development technologies / framework - both front-end & back-end (React, Flutter, Node.js, Python, Django etc)
- Experience in database design & management including SQL, NoSQL databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cassandra.
- Should be well versed / proficient in Architectural Principles & frameworks like TOGAF (Open Group Architectural Framework) / O-AA (Open Agile Architecture) / IAF / Zachman.
