Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and experienced Cutlist Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for generating precise and optimized cutlists for furniture and modular interior design projects. This role requires a strong understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and software tools to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and minimal wastage in production.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare detailed cutlists based on technical drawings and design specifications.
• Optimize material usage to minimize waste and ensure cost-effectiveness.
• Collaborate with designers, production teams, and vendors to validate measurements and material requirements.
• Utilize cutting optimization software (such as AutoCAD, Woodwork for Inventor, or other CNC-related tools) to generate precise cutting instructions.
• Ensure compliance with quality control standards and company guidelines.
• Maintain an updated database of materials, hardware, and inventory to streamline production workflows.
• Troubleshoot design or manufacturing issues and propose feasible solutions.
• Assist in updating standard operating procedures (SOPs) and training documentation for cutlist preparation.
Requirements & Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree/diploma in Interior Design, Wood Technology, Furniture Manufacturing, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in cutlist preparation or related roles in the interior design or related industry.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Sketch Up, Woodwork for Inventor, or other relevant software.
• Strong understanding of woodworking materials, laminates, veneers, and hardware components.
• Attention to detail with excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Good communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with cross-functional teams.
