Machine Operator

TASKS
Operate hot wire expanded polystyrene foam slabbing machine and hot wire drop trimming machine.
Proficient use of a tape measure
Read and interpret information recorded in English, Imperial and Metric measurements.
Thorough understanding of Technical Service Bulletin # 7 – Hot Wire Cutting – BASF.
Understand how to cut maximum yield from blocks of Polystyrene foam.
Properly mark all material.
Ensure orders are packaged and labeled as per the Order instructions and/or the
Packaging Instructions Sheet.
Report to the Cutting Supervisor on any daily/specific problems.
Maintain a clean working area around their equipment.
Maintain equipment in good working order
Assist on the contour cutter when required.
May be required to work unsupervised.
Complete understanding of the Quality Assurance Manual and the Systems Procedures as it pertains to the job.

QUALIFICATIONS
Have some experience in operating CNC machinery in a manufacturing atmosphere or equivalent.
Must have at least basic knowledge of computers.
Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.
Must be able to lift up to 55-65 pounds periodically and be able to stand for long periods of time.
Must have transportation to our manufacturing plant in Headingley Manitoba (no bus service to Headingley MB). Just out side of perimeter about 5 miles west
REMUNERATION / TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
Pay rate: starting at $18.50 plus .50cent evening premium with the opportunity to increase based on performance
Health, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short/Long-term Disability plan after 3 months employment -Health & Dental benefits paid by employer.
Generous RRSP/DPSP program for employees after one year of employment.
Opening in Evening Shift: 2pm to 10pm
