We are seeking highly experienced and strategic Cyber Security Advisers to join our Cyber Security teams and play a critical role in protecting the ATO from evolving and sophisticated cyber threats.
These roles integrate leadership, advisory and technical responsibilities to strengthen the organisation’s security posture while enabling secure business outcomes.
You’ll play a critical role to safeguard the ATO’s information, systems, people and community by offering trusted guidance, managing risk, influencing secure decision-making and overseeing cyber governance.
As a Cyber Security Adviser, you will provide leadership and strategic direction in the integration of security practices across the organisation, ensuring alignment and compliance with industry and government frameworks. You’ll build and mature cyber capability by leading and mentoring teams, providing strategic guidance, and partnering with business areas to implement secure solutions and capability development initiatives aligned to enterprise objectives.
You will collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders, to influence, implement and maintain cyber security policies and controls to mitigate internal and external threats. You’ll provide trusted, strategic advice through governance forums and partnerships with internal partners, IT vendors and digital service providers. You’ll also lead the development of innovative security strategies, leveraging emerging technologies and identifying best-practice approaches to drive continuous improvement to uplift the ATO’s overall security maturity.
These responsibilities span the following areas:

Cyber Policy Adviser
Foreign Ownership, Control and Influence Adviser
Cyber Security Architect
Technology and Information Security Adviser
