Job Description:
Lecia MicroSystems is looking for as a Lead Software engineer to join the software development team responsible for developing software applications for Digital Microscope imaging for Microsurgery (Neuro) and Ophthalmology.
Your Responsibilities:
• Conduct Vulnerability Analysis and Penetration tests on conventional applications as well as embedded, firmware, mobile, and more
• Use a combination of manual and automated techniques to assess risks and circumvent security mechanisms of devices and applications
• Create threat models that result in more secure application design
• Design and develop security testing scenarios
• Analyze and present results of testing to team members, managers, and customers
• Write detailed problem reports, test plan documents, and mitigation recommendations as needed
• Develop tools to aid penetration test automation and effectiveness
• Review code for common security vulnerabilities
• Maintain technical documentation
Our Expectations:
• Bachelors of Engineering or Masters in Software Engineering/Informatics/Mathematics or equivalent
• Knowledge of common application security bugs and other attack types
• In-depth knowledge of security vulnerabilities for Windows applications and websites (e.g. OWASP Top 10, Common Weakness Enumeration, Common Vulnerability Enumeration)
• Knowledge of penetration testing techniques to find the following: Remote code execution, Buffer overflow, Privilege escalation, Database injection, Exploiting payloads, Cross-site scripting, Path injection
• Knowledge of reverse engineering skills specifically ASLR/DEP Evaluation, Finding credentials in binaries, Digital cert evaluation, Hashing mechanism evaluation, Vulnerability scans, Banned functions/API scan
• Vulnerability and threat management experience
• Proven hands-on experience working with Static and Dynamic Security Scan tools
• Experience in Open Source Security code scan
• Hands-on experience in conducting application vulnerability assessments
• Knowledge on security hardening procedures
• Team Player with focussed, goal-oriented and self-dependent working attitude
• Extremely strong problem-solving skills
• Fluent in verbal and written English
• Ability to deliver in high performance, results oriented and time bound environment
Desired
• Understanding of GDPR regulations
• Experience with embedded, firmware, and/or IoT technologies
• Experience in Agile Software Development
• Experience in Regulated Medical Device software development, knowledge relevant standards
