Cybersecurity- Principal Systems Software Developer - Windows Kernel

In this role, you will:
Lead the design and development of Windows kernel components for security software, focusing on advanced threat detection, prevention, and mitigation techniques.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define software requirements, ensuring they align with security objectives and customer needs.
Architect, implement , and maintain high-performance, reliable, and secure kernel-mode software modules using C/C++ and other relevant programming languages.
Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices, coding standards, and security guidelines.
Analyze, debug, and resolve complex issues related to Windows kernel security, performance, and compatibility.
Stay up to date with the latest advancements and vulnerabilities in Windows kernel technologies, security protocols, and exploit techniques.
Conduct security assessments, threat modeling , and risk analysis to identify and address potential security weaknesses in the kernel software.
Collaborate with security researchers to develop innovative techniques and countermeasures for emerging threats targeting the Windows kernel.
Mentor and guide junior engineers, sharing your expertise and promoting a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.
Contribute to the overall technical strategy and roadmap of the security software products, providing insights and recommendations for improvements.
You will have:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. A Ph.D. is a plus.
Extensive experience (8+ years) in software development, with a strong focus on Windows kernel programming and security.
Deep knowledge of Windows kernel architecture, internals, and low-level systems programming, including device drivers, kernel-mode APIs, memory management, and process/thread synchronization.
Proficiency in C/C++ programming languages and experience with assembly language programming.
Proven track record of designing and implementing security solutions in the Windows kernel, such as anti-malware software, intrusion detection/prevention systems, or other security-related technologies.
Strong understanding of common security vulnerabilities, attack vectors, and mitigation techniques in the Windows ecosystem.
Experience with debugging and reverse engineering tools, such as WinDbg or IDA Pro, for troubleshooting complex kernel-level issues.
Knowledge of Windows security models, authentication protocols, cryptographic algorithms, and secure coding practices.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to analyze and communicate complex technical concepts effectively.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead and mentor a team of engineers.
Relevant certifications, such as Microsoft Certified: Windows Kernel Programming, CISSP, or OSCP, are highly desirable.
