Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cybersecurity Red Team Engineer to conduct realistic offensive security exercises and develop tools to support these engagements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in penetration testing, red teaming, or vulnerability research.
Main Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting offensive security exercises with a team of skilled hackers, planning and implementing engagements to identify vulnerabilities and opportunities for enhanced security. This will involve developing and maintaining tools and infrastructure to support Red Team exercises, ensuring seamless execution and effective results. Additionally, the candidate will document and present findings to technical audiences and senior leadership, including the Chief Information Security Officer and Chief Information Officer. They will also engage in purple team engagements with our Security Operations Center, simulating various threat levels to test our defenses. Furthermore, they will research attack techniques and tools to improve engagement success and stay ahead of emerging threats. Finally, they will provide debriefs post-engagement to guide improvement efforts and ensure continuous growth.

The role requires a unique combination of skills and expertise, including proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Ruby, PowerShell, or Bash) and systems knowledge. This enables the candidate to align technical configurations with security goals and successful vulnerability management. A key aspect of the role is collaboration, as the successful candidate will work closely with security and IT teams to develop robust, defense-in-depth controls. They will collaborate to continuously improve security tactics and procedures, ensuring an integrated approach to global security management. In addition, they will spearhead innovative security initiatives, pushing the boundaries of offensive security capabilities by applying their offensive security approach to design new techniques and methodologies that anticipate future threats.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, the candidate will need a Bachelor's degree and minimum 3+ years in penetration testing, red teaming, or vulnerability research. They must also possess proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Ruby, PowerShell, or Bash), experience with Windows and Linux operating systems, and at least one entry-level penetration testing certification such as OSCP, OSWA, CPTS, eJPT, CRTP, or PNPT. Strong networking knowledge, including Identity and Access Management and Active Directory, is also essential. Experience identifying and remediating OWASP top 10 security flaws is required, as well as practical experience setting up and applying command and control (C2) frameworks for executing red team operations, including managing communications and coordinating attacks.
