We are looking for a Data Analyst to join the Business Analytics and Targeting team within Joint Targeting and Analytics in the Immigration Risk and Border branch.
As a Data Analyst you will be responsible for ensuring that risk targeting is data informed. You will be responsible for providing data analysis, regular and ad hoc reporting, quality assurance and services to support Risk Verification and wider INZ.

Skills and Experience Required
Proven knowledge and experience in analysing business information needs and the ability to translate these into business information requirements.
Knowledge of relational databases and business information tools/software.
Experience of working in a data warehouse environment.
Must have proven experience utilising SQL.
Preferable experience in Power BI and R.
Ability to work with numbers and utilising these to underpin decisions with quantitative data.
Excellent communications, self-management, and interpersonal skills.
Proven ability to clearly present analysis and ideas on in person and on paper.
Ability to quickly establish and build strong working relationships.
The ability to gain and maintain MBIE privileged access as required.
At time of application you must be a New Zealand citizen or hold a New Zealand Permanent Resident visa.
