Job Description
We are looking out for an India based Data Analyst Finance to be based out of our Chandigarh/Mohali location. This position is part of larger vision to create self-reliant Finance BI team for all the business intelligence and data needs. The Finance Business Analyst will play a pivotal role to translate business requirement into technical BI solutions. The candidate will be responsible for coordinating with stakeholders, business teams, data teams and provide the reporting to different areas within business units. The candidate will be responsible for the maintaining current reporting system and also generate the reporting and analytics for upcoming future projects. #LI-RS1
CHALLENGE
• Collaborate closely with finance stakeholders, peers, and other BI teams to gain business insights.
• At the interface between Finance and Data Platform Engineers, Analyst and their respective teams you translate business requirements into reporting and dossier solutions.
• Proactively identify areas for improvement in Finance reporting landscape (e.g. areas of repeated maintenance, data quality issues or recurring ad-hoc requests) and propose ideas to address them.
• Ensure that data is modeled to the highest standards, is well documented and accessible to different end users through the appropriate platforms (Exasol and MicroStrategy).
FOR THIS EXCITING MISSION YOU ARE EQUIPPED WITH...
• Several Years of Experience working with data exploration, modeling the schemas in Datawarehouse and reporting in MicroStrategy. Understanding what it takes to design, build and maintain end to end stable reporting solution.
• Strong hands on expertise on MicroStrategy (2-5 years) preferably 10.x onward.
• Experience in understanding existing models, creating database views and designing MicroStrategy object layer like Schema Objects, Public Objects, Dossiers, Dashboards and Reporting.
• Advanced SQL skills (2-5 year)- you can solve the problem with most efficient SQL considering the data volumes of underlying data warehouse is prerequisite.
• Good Knowledge on modelling technique like Dimensional Modelling
• Fluency in English , spoken and written is a must (German is a plus)
