Responsibilities
Experience managing large datasets, data modeling, and creating data infrastructures to support data analysis and reporting initiatives
Experience in data visualization and communicating findings to diverse audiences, including technical and non-technical stakeholders

Behavioral Science Research Institute (BSRI) is growing, and we’re looking for the right people to join our team! BSRI is a non-profit located in Coral Gables, Miami, Florida, specializing in research, evaluation, and capacity building. BSRI is known for contributing to positive change in communities and systems through our research and evaluation role. We are seeking a Data Analyst I who is motivated to use their knowledge and skills as part of a team that blends empirical methods with lived experience to help us fulfill our company mission.

The knowledge, skills, and experience we are looking for at BSRI:
• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Social Science, Public Health, or a related field with 2+ years of academic and/or work experience (Master’s degree preferred).
• Proficiency in Tableau is required, with additional experience in SPSS, Excel, SQL, or other data analysis and visualization tools.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, particularly in cleaning and transforming data with Power Query and summarizing data with pivot tables.Experience managing large datasets, data modeling, and creating data infrastructures to support data analysis and reporting initiatives.
• Experience in data visualization and communicating findings to diverse audiences, including technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Prior experience or knowledge of community change projects (e.g., health equity, housing, workforce development, racial equity, etc.).
• Highly Preferred: Experience with Qualtrics PLUS: Experience in querying, analyzing, summarizing, and visualizing data using mixed methods (both qualitative and quantitative). Familiarity with SQL is desirable, along with a basic familiarity with AI tools and their applications in data analysis.
