We're looking for a Data Analyst to:
develop from scratch and automate a benchmarking solution, to access data from diverse front business data sources (cloud, files, data lakes, data warehouse, etc.), producing data extracts out of those, and outputting comparative results On-Cloud vs. On-Prem to stakeholders for further analysis and decisions.
take full ownership and accountability for the assessment of the data available in the strategic governed data platform
elicit and understand business requirements (functional and non-functional) from where data should be strategically sourced
document functional and non-functional requirements in well-understandable, in a clearly structured manner to be shared with a large audience across the organization
document the data analysis and comparisons and communicate the results to stakeholders in multi-national setting for decisioning
work dynamically with stakeholders, data providers and data consumers across locations and diverse seniority levels
Your team
You’ll be working within Group Risk Control, in a truly culturally diverse team, with daily interactions with colleagues across Zurich, UK, Poland, India and USA.
The team operates in agile model, where crews are aligned to larger products and services fulfilling stakeholder’s needs and encompass multiple pods. Your pod (team) will be the 'Strategic Data Interfaces' in the crew 'Data Strategy & Controls' which is part of 'Artificial Intelligence, Data and Analytics'.
You'll be in close contact and work in collaboration with other group functions (Finance, Treasury, Compliance, etc.) and business owners to build and deliver the next generation of capabilities of Data Products to serve all UBS group functions and all state-of-the-art data platforms
Your expertise
5+ years of proven working experience in Data related work fields in Data Governance or Change Management, preferably in Banking or Financial Services
strong experience with system migration, replacement and/or decommissioning
very good knowledge on data architecture, analysis, and modelling
very good skills on SQL queries for analysis, benchmarking, dashboarding and visualization. Good experience on azure data bricks
very good experience with Alteryx and/or another technology for data analytics automation
knowledge of Visualization tools (e.g. PowerBI, Tableau).
knowledge of change management tools such as JIRA and confluence
nice to have: experience in Python
strong Analytical skills
strong initiative and sense of ownership
strong desire to learn new technologies
excellent written and verbal communication skills and an ability to work as part of a global team
good knowledge of Financial Services domain and banking products (e.g. Loans, Derivatives, etc.), ideally experience in Risk division (added advantage)
experience working in Agile Scrum
self-motivated, driven, proactive
