Job Description
Data architects/engineers build and maintain our company’s database by identifying structural and installation solutions. The central responsibility will be to develop, optimize and oversee our company’s conceptual and logical data systems. Including, reports, monitoring the system and supervising migrations. This roles work with database administrators and analysts to secure easy access to company data.
Core Responsibilities (include, but not limited too)
• Design and implement effective database solutions and models to store and retrieve company data.
• Creating database solutions, evaluating requirements, and preparing design reports.
• Examine and identify database structural necessities by evaluating client operations, applications and programming.
• Prepare accurate database design and architecture reports for management and executive teams.
• Oversee the migration of data from legacy systems to new solutions.
• Maintain a close eye on data management operations to guarantee data quality and consistency.
• Collect data from primary and secondary sources and manage databases/data systems.
• Oversee flows from data lake to data warehouses.
• Filter and clean up data by evaluating computer reports, printouts, and performance indicators to find and fix code errors.
• Collaborate with management to prioritize business and information requirements.
• Identify and describe new possibilities for process improvement.
Requirements
• A bachelor's degree in in computer science, computer engineering or relevant field is required.
• 3+ years working experience in the field.
• Extensive understanding of and expertise with databases (SQL, for example), as well as programming (XML, JavaScript, or ETL frameworks)
• Experience with both Data Lake and Data Warehouse is a requirement
• Proven experience in data analysis and management, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong analytical abilities, including the ability to collect, organize, evaluate, and disseminate large volumes of information while paying close attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent critical thinking abilities and attention to detail.
• Excellent English language skills both verbal and written.
