Data Base Administration(Db2,DBA)

• Job Requirements :
• Key Responsibilities : A : Clear database admin concepts for any flavor like SQL / Oracle B : Define a client Hi all,
issue and can interpret and design a resolution based on deep product knowledge
• Technical Experience : A : Should know the commands usage Should have DB architecture knowledge B : Exposure to Cloud Administration C : Experience in database programming concepts for structured query language SQL D : Creating database tables, setting up indexes, data constraints and DB views Analyze, predict through trend analysis and resolve database system, storage and application issues E : Monitor SQL jobs in production and be responsible for load / unload
• Professional Attributes : A : Good Communication Skill B : Flexible in shifts
• Educational Qualification : Graduate
4+ years of experience as mainframe DB2 System Programmer. Skills involves and not limited to, o Evaluate and implement new features / functions of DB2 and associated third party products.
o Extensive use of utilities and Performance Monitoring tools using BMC, CA and IBM products. o Consultant on DB2 database applications architecture o Knowledge of SMP / E and can prepare for and apply maintenance to a DB2 subsystem o Engineer and execute the processes to upgrade and / or apply maintenance to releases / versions of mainframe database system software, and associated third party products o Maintain DSNZPARMs o Implement automated disaster recovery mechanisms for Mainframe Database subsystems and associated third party products.
Participate in all recovery coordination activities o Create & modify WLM address spaces for stored procedures as needed o Database security management o Backup / Recovery strategies o Strategy Reviews o Scalability Analysis o Database Architecture design strategy o Planning Database maintenance window o Capacity planning o Monitor and troubleshoot DB2 address spaces for any potential issues o DB2 Database configuration across difference Mainframe LPARs.
o Prepare and execute housekeeping strategies for the DB2 Catalog and Directory. o Implement security strategy for DB2 via RACF.
o Troubleshoot Level 3 DB2 Database issues. o Provide Level 3 support to troubleshoot / resolve system level and application problems with DB2 Database technologies and associated Third Party products coordinate escalation / intervention with vendor as necessary
