Data Center Design Engineer

Job description

Mechanical Design Engineers play a pivotal role in shaping the future of data centers. They are responsible for overseeing the design of new HyperScale and Edge Data Centers, from site selection to civil and architectural design.

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, with hands-on experience in data center infrastructure and a solid understanding of AUTOCAD, BIM REVIT, and CFD tools.

Responsibilities include:

• Creating detailed designs and engineering for Tier 3/4 Data Center builds

• Preparing equipment tenders with necessary technical specifications and layouts

• Interacting with customers to understand their business requirements and designing data centers accordingly

• Ensuring proper design planning and delivery

• Collaborating with vendors and contractors

Requirements:

• Mechanical Engineering degree

• Proven relevant work experience in the Data Center Industry

• Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
