REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Associates and six (6)+ years’ of related experience; additional four (4) years of experience accepted in lieu of degree
Experience in a Data Center role involving infrastructure
In-depth knowledge of networking protocols and technologies, such as TCP/IP, VLAN, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, and DNS
Hands-on experience with network hardware, including switches, routers, load balancers, and firewalls
Proficient in network monitoring and troubleshooting tools, such as Wireshark, SNMP, and packet analysis
Knowledge and familiarity with the Command Line Interface (CLI) used by Cisco devices
Knowledge and use of ServiceNow or similar ticketing system
Provide on-call support and participate in an on-call rotation schedule
Capable of lifting to 50 lbs
and are agile in manual dexterity (climb, stoop, et.)
to rack and stack equipment, as an example, with or without accommodation
Minimum DoD 8570 IAT Level II certificate (Security+ CE, CySA+ CE, CASP+ CE, CISSP, etc)
Must be able to obtain a full Secret Clearance; Interim Secret required prior to start
Must be a current US Citizen
Customer site vaccination requirements must be followed when work is performed at a customer site

Responsibilities

Manage and maintain servers (physical/VM), databases, appliances, services, and applications hosted at the datacenter that support network management

Description

SAIC is looking for a, Hybrid, Data Center Technician Administrator in San Jose, CA to support the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Revolutionary IT Services (RITS) program to configure and install new or replacement data center hardware, configure and support the wireless network, and maintain network documentation.

NOTE This role is remote with on-site activities in San Jose, CA.

Job Description
