Overview: The Data Collection Analyst is a valuable member of the Rainmaker Data Team, directly contributing to the company in the provision of data for the financial services industry in Australia. The successful candidate will carry out data collection and data entry of Investment Product Data across performance data, unit prices, fees, objectives, benchmarks, and underlying investments. This position will provide the opportunity to build experience and become an Investment Product data specialist on the Funds Management sector within Australia. Working within a long-established Data Team where members are passionate about data and financial services. Each team member will have access to professional learning material, professional software, industry events and media titles to support their growth and expand their knowledge of the financial services industry in Australia. About Rainmaker Information: the company was founded in 1++2, and is a leading provider of data, insights, research, and media on the financial services industry in Australia. Rainmaker is part of Institutional Shareholder Services’ Market Intelligence (ISS MI) business unit. Responsibilities: Data collection and Data entry for Investment Products, including managed funds, exchange traded funds (ETFs), listed investment companies, model portfolios, and market indices. Assist with maintaining relationships with data suppliers to ensure good flow of data. Researching websites, product documents, and other sources for information. Reading key media titles on the Australian financial services market. Maintaining a database. Communication of tasks, progress, successes, and deadlines to the team. Participating in an ongoing professional learning and development program in financial services. Qualifications: 1 to 3 years’ experience with data collection and data entry of Investment Product data. A good understanding of performance data and unit pricing. Passionate about Data and /or financial services and investments. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. University qualified in a relevant field, including, but not limited to Economics, Finance, Business or Marketing. Strong communication skills. Strong Internet research skills. Strong MS Office suite skills. Well organised and pro-active. Good analytical and problem-solving skills. Genuine interest in learning about the financial services industry.
