Job Description
We at Linfox International Group are looking for an experienced Data Engineer (overall experience range of 3-+ years is preferred) to join our growing team of analytics and BI experts for Bangalore/Chennai or Mumbai location.
The ideal candidate is an experienced data pipeline builder and data wrangler who enjoys optimizing data systems and building them from scratch ensuring optimal data delivery architecture with ongoing projects.
They must be self-directed and comfortable supporting the data needs of multiple teams, systems, and products. The right candidate will have the opportunity of optimizing and designing data solutions to support our next generation of products and initiatives for the logistics industry.
Responsibilities
• Analyse and organize raw data
• Build data systems and pipelines
• Evaluate business needs and objectives
• Conduct complex data analysis and report on results
• Combine raw information from different sources
• Explore ways to enhance data quality and reliability
• Identify opportunities for data acquisition
• Develop analytical tools and programs
• Collaborate with others/teams on various data projects
Qualifications
• Exposure to logistics and warehouse industry is highly preferred but not mandatory.
• Must have advanced working knowledge of SQL and RDBMS systems.
• Experience in building and optimizing data pipelines, architectures, and data sets.
• Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Strong analytic skills related to working with structured and unstructured datasets.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
• They should also have experience using the following software/tools:
• Experience with data lake solution design, preferably on Azure.
• Experience with relational SQL and NoSQL databases – (we use MS SQL/Azure SQL and Mongo Db).
• Experience with ETL tools for data pipeline and workflow management – (we use ADF and Talend)
• Experience with Azure cloud services: Logic Apps, Azure Functions, Azure Blob Storage, Azure Analysis Services etc.
• Knowledge and experience using Azure DevOps for source control, project deployment and project management preferred.
• Experience with object-oriented/object function scripting languages: C#, Python etc.
• Awareness on stream-processing systems: Stream Analytics, Azure Databricks, and Azure Event Hubs
