Your role and responsibilities
As an Associate Business Transformation Consultant (BTC) at IBM, you’ll be at the crossroads of technology, people, and processes, assisting clients in adapting to market changes and aligning their business strategies. Your responsibilities will include:
• Communicating the business value of solutions to clients and driving KPI adoption with essential stakeholders.
• Crafting targeted communications while working in an agile, collaborative environment.
• Applying IBM's Design Thinking to address client challenges and analyze data to inform strategies.

Key Responsibilities
• Data Analysis: Gather and evaluate data to spot trends, delivering actionable insights that enhance client marketing, operations, and business practices.
• Data Visualization: Create engaging and user-friendly data visualizations, dashboards, and reports to communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Data Engineering: Collaborate on ETL/ELT ingestion pipelines.
• Data Quality Assurance: Maintain the integrity, accuracy, and reliability of data through meticulous cleaning, validation, and preprocessing.
• Client Collaboration: Connect with project teams to prioritize client needs and define operational scenarios, ensuring effective translation of business to solution requirements.
• Presentation of Insights: Present analytical results and recommendations articulately, showcasing the value of data-driven decision-making to clients.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Team up with multi-disciplinary teams to solve complex business issues, leveraging your data expertise to foster innovative solutions.
• Continuous Learning: Keep up-to-date with the latest trends in the data landscape, contributing new ideas and best practices to the team.
• Consulting Skills:
• Engage with clients to advocate for business process transformation, evaluating applications to identify optimization and automation opportunities.

Required technical and professional expertise
• Experience: Involvement in ETL/ELT projects, data warehouse design, and analytics pipelines.
• Skills/Tech: Proficiency in SQL, Python, dbt, Snowflake, BigQuery, Airflow, data modeling, and basic CI/CD processes.
• Familiarity with workflow tools such as IBM BAW, Lombardi, iLog, Appian, Pega, etc.
• Data Engineering skills, including pipeline design, infrastructure management, vector databases, deployment strategies, and scalability techniques.
• Other: Strong analytical mindset; exposure to data governance or data quality is a plus.
• Willingness to travel up to 100% based on project demands.
Preferred technical and professional experience
• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, MIS, Engineering).
• Minimum of 1 year of hands-on project experience or related training.
• Certifications such as SnowPro Core, Google Associate Cloud Engineer, or relevant Data Engineer coursework are an advantage.
• General skills: Knowledge in GenAI literacy, including prompt engineering, RAG, fine-tuning, and evaluating generative models.
