We are seeking an experienced Backend Developer to join our Data Warehouse team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for designing and developing high-quality features and delivering tasks to a high standard.
The ideal candidate has 8 years of experience in software development, with a focus on backend and data engineering. You should have experience with modern data warehouses, Databricks, dbt, Airflow, containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes), Spark applications, and Parquet, Delta Lake file formats.
You will be working on building and maintaining workflow management systems, architecting and implementing workflow management systems, and ensuring seamless integration with other teams. Strong written and verbal English communication skills are essential, as well as the ability to provide good quality readable business documentation.
Required Skills and Qualifications
• Experience with Data Warehouse design and development
• Proficiency in Databricks and dbt
• Highly proficient in architecting and implementing workflow management systems using Airflow
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Hands-on experience with building and maintaining Spark applications
• Fundamental understanding of Parquet, Delta Lake, and other OTFs file formats
• Proficiency in IaC tool such as Terraform, CDK, or CloudFormation
• Experience with observability systems (Datadog, Prometheus/Grafana)
• Strong experience with building CI/CD processes (GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, Jenkins)
• Experience with unit testing and test automation frameworks
