Job Description
We are looking for a Data Engineer to join our eCommerce Data team at NEXT. Based from NEXT Head Office in Leicestershire with a competitive salary range of £4+,000 - £60,000 with great benefits!

eCommerce Data provides the department and the business the means to see what is working and what is not by drawing data and analysing patterns of shopping on our site and in general.
The role
As a Data Engineer within eCommerce Data team NEXT you will be working with Big Data to help the business make informed decisions. What else is involved?
• Develop and implement data transformation processes, including data cleansing, aggregation, and enrichment, to prepare data for data science, analysis and reporting.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient data pipelines to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources into data warehouses or data lakes.
• Integrate data from multiple sources, both internal and external using third party APIs, ensuring data quality, consistency, and reliability.
• Monitor data pipelines and datasets for performance issues, data quality problems, and errors. Troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders, to understand data requirements and deliver data solutions that meet business needs.
• Document data engineering processes, data flows, and data models to ensure clarity and maintainability of the data infrastructure.
