Duties
Data Entry Clerks are responsible for accurately and efficiently entering information into computer databases, spreadsheets, or other electronic systems. Their primary duties include:
• Data Entry : Transferring data from paper formats, such as documents, forms, or reports, into computer files or database systems.
• Typing : Entering customer and account information, as well as other relevant data, into electronic formats.
• Spreadsheet Management : Creating and managing spreadsheets with large numbers of figures, often requiring attention to detail and basic math skills.
• Record Keeping : Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records, including customer databases, account information, and other relevant data.
• Verification : Verifying entered data against source documents at various stages of the process to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Organizational Skills : Organizing files, collecting and managing data for entry, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
• Communication : Reporting to data managers or senior team members, and potentially interacting with customers or other stakeholders.
