Timing: Full time
As a data entry specialist, you will be responsible for accurately entering important company data and keeping records up-to-date. We are looking for candidates with a 10+2 certificate or a Bachelors' degree. Prior full- or part-time experience working in data entry is desirable, though not essential.
Key Responsibilities
Gather, collate, and prepare and verify documents, materials, and information for data entry
Transcribe source data into the required electronic format
Perform high-volume data entry using word processing tools, spreadsheets, databases, or other computer software
Verify integrity of data by comparing it to its source and maintain logs
Maintain a filing system and protect confidential information
Research to obtain information for incomplete material
Retrieve data from the database or electronic filing system in the format requested
Work closely with the specialists and sales teams
Clerical duties such as filing, monitoring office supplies, scanning, and printing as needed
Compliance with processes set and testing new systems and software updates
Coordinating with departments and locations as required
Assisting team with client queries, attending phone calls, and attending to gallery visitors when required
Skills and Experience
Good interpersonal and communication skills (written and spoken English)
Ability to organise and manage time
Ability to work well within a team as well as with minimal supervision
Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
Attention to detail and ability to focus for extended periods of time
Ability to perform repetitive tasks with a high degree of accuracy
Computer literacy and familiarity with various computer programs such as MS Office and a basic knowledge of databases
Knowledge of administrative and clerical operations and digital and paper filing systems
Ability to maintain confidentiality and be discreet with data handled
Willing to adjust to long hours, if necessary, particularly during sale deadlines, exhibitions, and auctions
