Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement an enterprise-wide data governance framework to drive scalable governance practices.
Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and standards for data governance, including data ownership, stewardship, access, and usage.
Business Rules and Taxonomy Management:
Partner with business units to identify, standardize, and document core business rules and data definitions.
Drive alignment and version control of business taxonomies, ensuring they are centrally maintained and regularly updated.
Data Quality and Accountability:
Define and implement data quality dimensions (accuracy, completeness, timeliness, consistency, etc.) across key data domains.
Collaborate with functional leads to establish and maintain quality rules and thresholds.
Data Ownership and Stewardship:
Lead the identification and onboarding of data owners and stewards.
Facilitate training and engagement programs to support the ongoing participation of governance roles.
Metadata Management and Cataloging:
Lead the selection and implementation of a data catalog and metadata management solution.
Promote catalog adoption and usage across the enterprise.
Cross-Functional Engagement:
Partner with data platform, engineering, analytics, legal, compliance, and business teams to embed governance in daily operations.
Qualifications:
10+ years of experience in data management, with 7+ years in Data Governance roles.
Proven track record designing and operationalizing governance frameworks at scale.
This role requires strong communication and stakeholder management skills to operate strategically and tactically in a cross-functional environment.
