Job Title: Data Management Governance and Quality Lead Location: Bangalore, India Corporate Title: Assistant Vice President Role Description You will be responsible for driving forward as part of a wider team the Operations Reference Data Services (ORDS) Data Management objectives across Data Governance (both operational and technical), Data Quality and Controls. You will provide Data Governance oversight and monitor ORDS’s compliance to the Data Policy and other associated guidelines and standards. You will engage with the Business, Operations and Technology partners from across the organisation and drive the data management maturity agenda and Strategy forward. Oversee the declaration of Data Elements; ensuring data is clearly defined and Data Quality expectations are clear • Establish key stakeholder relationships & engage senior audiences in respect to Data Governance objectives. Embed enterprise-wide Data Management Frameworks, Policies and Guidelines and instil a clear understanding of the Data Policy compliance requirements across ORDS • Partner closely with Reference Data Architecture and IT leads to make transparent the technology strategy and progress on embedding key IT deliverables • Monitor ORDS’ compliance to the Data Policy by leveraging enterprise-wide Data Management KPI’s and (where necessary) introducing new targeted ORDS measures. Ensure that areas of non-compliance are addressed up by the appropriate Data Owner • Responsible for the Reference Data Strategy updates, maturity model finalisation and assessments as well as being involved in defining and embedding key KPIs Your Skills And Experience • Proven experience in driving forward and embedding Data Management practices/strategy within Investment Banking divisions or functions • Experience in linking together strong Data Governance, Data Quality measurement and Data Architecture to drive forward business growth and analytics • Strong Reference Data experience preferable • Deep knowledge in the end-to-end Issue management process and the aggregated Data Controls reporting to determine the overall health of the data • Experience working in data related roles within a highly regulated environment, ideally in financial services • Practical knowledge of industry leading data management technologies (e.g. metadata and data lineage tools, data quality profiling and monitoring, reporting and visualisation tools). Strong hands-on experience using Collibra • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts in a simplified digestible way to a wide range of stakeholders. Skilled in producing executive summaries that communicate the business value of Data Governance • Experience in driving forward projects and being able to articulate key RAIDs and benefits as well as progress against the overall roadmap.
