Job Description
As a Data Officer, you will play a key part in supporting the delivery of our Asset Management Strategy. You will ensure that our property data is accurate, accessible and meaningful, helping us plan and deliver essential works and meet our long-term strategic goals.
You will:
Manage the end-to-end process for gathering and validating stock condition data, ensuring all properties are surveyed in line with our five-year cycle.
Lead on the collection, validation and analysis of asset, compliance and stock condition data to support strategic planning and investment decisions.
Work closely with the Asset Data Manager and Project teams to prepare planned works programmes and ensure data is clean, complete and ready for budget planning.
Maintain and update our Asset Performance Model, providing insights that support decisions on investment, performance and growth.
Test and challenge current data systems and processes to ensure our sources are consistent, auditable and reliable.
Investigate data anomalies to improve accuracy and support better decision-making.
Produce high-quality analysis and reports for teams across the business.
Support enquiries from internal stakeholders, providing accurate property-related information.
Update stock condition surveys and provide guidance to users.
Contribute to our work on Decent Homes Standard and energy efficiency reporting, supporting our commitment to reach EPC Band C by 2030 and net zero by 2050.

Key Skills & Attributes
Highly numerate with a strong practical understanding of data analysis, statistical techniques and reporting.
Confident communicator with excellent written and verbal skills.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships across teams.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, and data skills specifically in the use of formulas, pivot tables, tables, querying etc. Ability to adapt to specialist software.
Able to work independently as well as positively with colleagues and external partners.
A professional approach and commitment to representing bpha positively at all times.
Experience & Qualifications
Experience working with data, ideally in a property, compliance or asset management environment.
Good general level of education (or relevant experience).
