Job Description

Looking to hire a Data Operations professional to lead and unify our data teams in a fast-paced, campaign-driven environment. In this on-site role, based at our Pune office, you will oversee three previously siloed teams – Data Engineering, Database Administration, and Contact Discovery – totaling 30–50 professionals. You will be responsible for crafting and executing a comprehensive data strategy that ensures the quality, maintenance, and timely availability of lead data to support daily operations and long-term growth.

The ideal candidate is a seasoned leader with a passion for data and experience managing large datasets. You should be ready to drive clarity, accountability, and innovation across all data verticals, with a strong focus on delivery-readiness and operational alignment.

Key Responsibilities

• Data Strategy & Governance: Own and evolve our internal data strategy. Ensure proper governance, refresh cycles, documentation, and secure handling of high-volume lead data sets.
• Data Pipeline Management: Oversee database workflows and pipeline optimization in collaboration with engineering resources. Enhance ETL/ELT processes and systems to scale effectively with campaign volume.
• Contact Discovery Operations: Guide the contact discovery team in identifying relevant decision-makers and leads when internal databases are insufficient. Set standards for precision, relevance, and turn-around-time of lead generation support.
• Campaign Data Readiness: Ensure timely delivery of clean, compliant, and targeted datasets for campaigns. Collaborate with operations and quality teams to ensure data aligns with campaign specifications.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as a strategic partner to operations, sales, and client delivery teams. Ensure proactive data readiness for live and upcoming campaigns.
• Gap Identification & Innovation: Continually monitor data coverage, detect gaps across industries, job titles, or geographies, and implement initiatives to enrich lead data using compliant and scalable methods.
• Quality Control & Compliance: Implement checks to maintain data integrity and ensure all practices comply with applicable data regulations and client expectations.
• Reporting & Performance Optimization: Track team KPIs like data delivery timelines, volume, and accuracy. Present actionable insights to management and continuously drive improvements in data availability and reliability.

Required Qualifications & Skills
• Proven experience (8+ years) leading data operations or database functions, preferably within a high-volume, campaign-led delivery environment
• Hands-on knowledge of SQL and Python for querying, automation, and analytics
• Experience designing and managing data pipelines, database workflows, and structured data warehouses
• Demonstrated leadership in managing multiple data verticals and mid-sized teams (25+ people)
• Strong experience with LinkedIn Sales Navigator and other tools used for contact discovery and prospect research
• Deep understanding of how data operations support sales, marketing, and client success in a high-velocity campaign model
• Analytical mindset with high attention to detail and comfort working with large, dynamic datasets
• Excellent communication skills and ability to coordinate with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Self-motivated, process-oriented, and proactive in identifying and solving data challenges at scale

Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or related fields
• Prior experience in lead generation, marketing tech, or data-intensive service delivery domains
