We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Architect.
In this role, you will:
• Consult with stakeholders to determine data requirements.
• Generate data from relevant HSBC systems as well as external sources.
• Participate in the design and delivery of reporting applications
• Conduct analysis to detect trends and anomalies
• Suggest remedial actions or escalate detections which give cause for concern
• Share information with stakeholders in suitable forms, these may be charts, tables or templates
• Participate in forums, meetings or events to interpret data and support decision making
• Involve where team management responsibility is required, Data Analysis job holders will manage the provision of developmental activity for team members and oversee their work schedules to ensure optimum coverage for stakeholders
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
• 8-12 years of experience is required for the role.
• Own and run the various data platforms in the bank
• Provide technical leadership, evaluation and recommendations for data consumption engines and new technologies that can be used to advance new features and capabilities around analytics and use derived data sets
• Be responsible for all operational activities related to system resiliency and quality, including but not limited to vulnerability management, patching, evergreening requirements etc.
• Govern access provisioning to different data sets. Complete analysis on the use and efficacy of different analytical tools
• Build awareness, increase knowledge and drive adoption of modern technologies and architecture patterns, sharing customer and engineering benefits to gain buy-in
• Monitor risk involved in the data and analytics platforms. Manage Environments for Data platforms such as warehouses, ETL and analytics / reporting on premise and cloud for high availability, performance and security
• Sharing best practices in the use of various data and analytical tools
