Job Title: Data Platform Developer

General Summary:
As a Data Platform Developer, you are a key member of the Business Intelligence team, playing a critical role in building and maintaining our data platform and infrastructure. You will collaborate with Business Intelligence Analysts, Data Scientists and Software Developers, helping drive actionable insights, aiding in strategic decision-making and contributing to the overall growth of the company.
Primary Duties:
Design, implement, and maintain scalable and robust data architecture to support business intelligence, analytics, data science and machine learning initiatives
Build and maintain end-to-end data pipelines through ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes that move data from various sources into data warehouses and datalakes
Support data orchestration and data integration initiatives at scale across the different functions of the business, leveraging high-quality SQL and Python/PySpark code as well as connections to third-party tools.
Lead migration of several data sources across multi-cloud platform (AWS / Microsoft Fabric), including SQL and NoSQL databases
Introduce and grow best practices on data governance, optimizing data workflows and ensuring data integrity, availability, reliability, security and performance
Create necessary tooling to monitor the health of our data pipelines, enhancing visibility to the overall data platform
Evaluate and recommend appropriate database technologies, data warehousing solutions, and data management tools
Foster documentation of architecture, processes and datasets, facilitating knowledge transfer across the team
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science or related field
Experience with Cloud architecture (Fabric/Azure and AWS)
Proficiency in SQL and Python/PySpark
Solid understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to oversee complex projects and a keen attention to detail
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Experience with project management tools (ClickUp, Asana, JIRA) and documentations tools (Slite, Confluence, Notion)
