The Global Data Product Portfolio is looking for a Data Product Owner to lead the ideation and development of our Candidate and Recruiting Data Product portfolio strategy. The creation of strategic, well-constructed and integrated Data Products to power the most important Business Intelligence, Advanced Analytics, Data Science and Operational use cases for data consumers and users across the entire organization is a core pillar of our enterprise-wide Data strategy. In this context, establishing a solid, modular Candidate and Recruiting Data Product portfolio is critical given their extensive use and enablement nature across a very wide range of BCG units and teams.

To realize this vision and strategy, the Product Owner for Candidate and Recruiting Data Products will need to develop and drive the roadmap of Candidate and Recruiting Data needs with our Recruiting and Data leadership. They should gain a deep understanding of our Candidate and Recruiting data models and interdependencies with our ongoing transformational programs (e.g., new ERP implementation, Recruiting Transformation) and their impact on our data sources, to guide on design choices and steer the organization towards a common enterprise data layer. The Product Owner will lead the 8-10 FTE product squad to develop the Candidate and Recruiting Data product portfolio.

You’ll be supporting the key transformational HT2 (High Tech High Touch) initiative that aims to bring new tech capabilities to our Talent Acquisition (TA) community by elevating our Applicant Tracking System (ATS) landscape, unlocking productivity gains and enhancing experiences for our recruiters, sourcers, candidates, interviewers, hiring managers, and more.

The ideal candidates will have a customer-centric mindset and enjoy working with cross-functional teams to design and deliver exceptional Data Products. They will have 10+ years of experience in development & managing of Candidate and Recruiting Data Products and Services, preferably in the context of large companies. Finally, they should have very good communication skills with proven experience in stakeholder engagement, including senior business & tech teams.

Among your responsibilities, you will:
• Define an overall vision and roadmap for our Candidate and Recruiting Data Products Portfolio
• Together with the Global Candidate Data Steward, Data Product Owner – Global Worker and HR, Product Portfolio Lead and Tech Area Lead, assess the implications of our global data strategy on our Candidate and Recruiting Data Product Portfolio strategy
• Incorporate the voice and needs of our customers, users and business leads on Candidate and Recruiting data, and most especially our BI&A, HR and Finance stakeholders, to define an overall strategy and roadmap for the Candidate and Recruiting Data Product Portfolio, constituted by a set of initiatives with clear accountabilities, goals and objectives
• Align the Candidate and Recruiting Data Products Portfolio strategy and roadmap with our broader BCG Data leadership (Executive Data Council, Enterprise Data Advisory)
• Engage in continuous discovery to better understand, anticipate, and influence our broad customer needs, and use it to refine our Candidate and Recruiting Data Product Portfolio strategy
• Through validation and scoring, identify and manage the priority of the Product backlog in consultation with stakeholders and set tradeoffs by involving customer/business value, customer/business/impact, cost, and speed-to-delivery
• Lead the validation and signoff process for the release of the product increments as defined in the product roadmap
• Ensure sustainable delivery of customer value by the squad on the agreed Product Portfolio roadmap
• Break down the roadmap initiatives into actionable epics & user stories, engaging customers as needed
• Ensure that the product portfolio is built in a cohesive and sustainable manner, with a progressive addition of scope that ensures modularity and consistency across our core, enterprise-wide Data products (e.g., Worker 360, Supplier 360, Client 360) and the connected Candidate and Recruiting Data Products, as well as other functional Data Products that rely on key candidate and recruiting data (e.g., Real Estate, Sustainability, Knowledge & Design Data Products) and selectively augment it based on the specific customer needs
• Track product performance & usability to inform future work
• Deliver on specific and measurable pre-aligned KPIs and key results
• Prioritize work through a well-organized backlog of user stories and clearly communicate what needs to be done and by when
• Proactively identify and escalate risks and mitigation plans, along with key decisions, to relevant stakeholders
• Define and clearly communicate acceptance criteria for output based on business & customer needs
• Support and enable the Squad to get its work done
• Continuously engage with the other Data Product Owners & Chapter Leads to ensure alignment on cross-squad priorities and ensure the consistency of the entire Data Product portfolio
• Foster exposure and connectedness of the squad members to key customer’s needs and priorities (i.e., HR, Finance, BI&A squads)
• Drive squad’s operational excellence of the squad by monitoring its progress, offering constructive feedback, and clarifying requirements and team members’ responsibilities
• Serve as a steward of BCG culture, working to drive and elevate firm values

YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)
• Total 10+ years’ relevant experience as Data Product Owner or Data or IT Manager
• Good understanding of Candidate and Recruiting Data constructs and domains (e.g., Sourcing, Screening and Interviewing, Selection and Onboarding…), data technologies (e.g., Snowflake) and core transactional systems (e.g., iCIMS, eightfold.ai, Workday, Oracle, SAP ERP)
• Good understanding of and experience with Candidate and Recruiting Data products, both for transactional processes and analytical use cases
• Exceptional communications and stakeholder management skills, able to bridge business-tech discussions and requirements
• Experience in consulting is a plus
• Agile Certifications preferred: Scrum.org (Professional Scrum Product Owner) or Scrum Alliance (Certified Product Owner)

• Global Data, BI&A and HR tribes’ leadership
• Global Data Owners and Data Stewards for core enterprise-wide domains (e.g., Supplier, Worker, Client), and Global Data Governance team
• Candidate and Recruiting Data Product stakeholders and customers across BCG, including Business, Analytics and Tech leaders from multiple BCG functions and units (HR, BI&A, IT, Finance)
• Other Global Data and HR Product Owners (e.g., EDM, MDM, Data Product Owners) and Chapter Leaders (e.g., Architecture, Data Engineering)
• Every member of your Candidate and Recruiting Data Products’ squad, for which you will be its servant leader
