Job Description: - Data Science
Role Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Data Scientist to join our team. As a Data Scientist, you will
be responsible for applying statistical techniques, machine learning algorithms, and image and document parsing to extract insights from complex datasets. Your expertise will contribute to the development of data-driven solutions that drive business growth and enhance decision-making
processes. This role requires strong analytical abilities, exceptional problem-solving skills, and proficiency in cloud technologies.
Responsibilities:
Data Analysis and Modeling:
Develop and implement predictive models and algorithms to solve complex business
problems.
Conduct feature engineering and selection to improve model performance and
interpretability.
Utilize machine learning techniques to extract insights and make accurate predictions from structured and unstructured data. Image and Document Parsing:
Utilize image processing techniques to analyze and extract information from images.
Utilize cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) to manage and process large-scale datasets efficiently.
Design and implement data pipelines and workflows for data ingestion, transformation, and storage.
Deploy and scale machine learning models in the cloud, leveraging containerization
technologies. Collaboration and Communication:
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to understand business requirements and formulate data-driven solutions.
Communicate complex findings and insights to non-technical stakeholders through
visualizations, presentations, and reports.
Work closely with data engineers, software developers, and domain experts to ensure
seamless integration of data science solutions.This is an individual contributor role for now with possibilities for people and project management in the near future.
Qualifications:
Must-Have:
Bachelor's or master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or
a related field.
Proven experience as a Data Scientist or similar role, with a strong track record
of delivering successful data-driven solutions.
Proficiency in statistical modeling, machine learning algorithms, and data visualization
techniques.
Strong programming skills in languages such as Python or R, with experience in data
manipulation and analysis libraries (e.g., pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn).
Familiarity with image processing techniques and computer vision frameworks (e.g.,
OpenCV, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
Experience with document parsing techniques and natural language processing frameworks
(e.g., NLTK, spaCy).
Experience with cloud platforms and services for data storage, processing, and deployment
of machine learning models.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and a strong analytical mindset.
Effective communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas and findings to both
technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Desirable:
Ph.D. degree in a relevant field with a focus on machine learning, computer vision, or natural
language processing.
Experience with deep learning architectures (e.g., CNNs, RNNs, Transformers) and
frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face).
Knowledge of data extraction techniques from unstructured sources such as OCR, PDF, and
text documents.
Familiarity with distributed computing frameworks (e.g., Apache Spark) and big data
technologies.
Experience with cloud-based machine learning services and serverless architectures.
Understanding of data privacy regulations and best practices for handling sensitive data.
