As a Software Engineer III in Securities Services Technology within Corporate & Investment Banking, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.
Job responsibilities:
Collaborate closely with business leaders and other key players to comprehend business objectives and identify data-driven strategies for achieving those objectives.
Gather a large amount of data, analyze it, separate out the essential information, and then utilize tools (Python, ML, NLP etc.) to extract insights that may be used to increase the productivity and efficiency of the business.
Work in Machine Learning and Data Science toolsets
Lead and own all aspects of the data analytics: requirement analysis and design, solution build and testing, co-ordination with Technology and Operations colleagues, defect / risk management and reporting / release management.
Collaborate and bridge the gap between both business and technical teams.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience
Expert in MS Office and Excel. SME skills required: Python, Machine Learning, NLP and Azure.
SQL and Oracle – expert level. Middle-ware (Messaging i.e. EMS/JMS) experience.
Micro-services based Architecture.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience in statistics, analysis and data mining.
Unit / Integration testing experience. Experience working in cloud based framework.
Understanding of Kubernetes/AWS/Cloud
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
Investment banking experience is good to have
Experience working on UNIX platform
Expert Python programmer
