Establishing frameworks to manage risks that are consistent with the Group's business objectives. Identifying, assessing and reporting risks to the Board, Risk and Audit Committees, Executive Committee and Business Units. Assessing the impact of proposed changes in laws, regulations and industry codes. Working collaboratively with the Business Units to achieve the optimal risk and return outcomes for the Group within the risk appetite approved by the Board See yourself in our team The Data scientist will use understanding of business domain to complete data science projects independently with moderate to high complexity. You will design experiments and translate an analytical output to business benefit. You also will engage and collaborate with business stakeholders to clearly articulate findings to solve business problems. We are interested in hearing from people who have Experienced in applying moderate to high complexity data science techniques to large and unstructured data. Demonstrated experience in completing data science projects with minimal supervision. End to end stakeholder management in terms of translating business needs into data science problem statements and delivering pilots / proof of concept through demos End to end delivery of data science projects. Experience in coaching more junior staff members Roles and Responsibilities- Apply various techniques to effectively analyse data, build statistical models and design experiments by using large and complex datasets Communicate analytical output to stakeholders and other team members. Deliver business value by interpreting data (including identification of patterns and trends) to solve data-analytics problems, with minimal supervision of a more senior data scientist. Devise and apply models and algorithms to mine large and complex data sets. Understands core business and technical strategies and able to apply with end to end project responsibility Contributes to team activities within platform Mentor couple of junior data scientists in their day to day projects as well as develop them through trainings Your Skills & Experience- Hands-on programming experience in Python and/or R and SQL (Hive would be nice). Solid understanding on basic ML algorithms at a mathematical (under the hood) level. Must have been part of projects building predictive models. Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
