Job Overview:
Do you have an affinity for the 11th and 18th letters in the alphabet? Are no labels needed? At Silent Eight, Data Scientists work with unstructured and semi-structured data to solve challenging problems and keep criminals from accessing capital markets. You will work directly with customers and cross-functional teams to document the entire PoV process including; data preparation, model development, analysis techniques, and results. You will communicate these findings and recommendations to stakeholders, effectively conveying the product's value and report how it met PoV success criteria. You will conduct the analysis of the data using the selected models and algorithms. Interpret the results, draw insights, and provide meaningful conclusions that demonstrate the feasibility and potential of the proposed solution. The ability to work autonomously is required, it's not just our models that are unsupervised.
Key Duties:
Understand the success criteria of the PoV and collaborate with customers and stakeholders to clarify requirements, and identify the data needed for analysis
Gather and prepare the relevant data required for the PoV and help optimize Silent Eight solutions to improve the solve rate as per success criteria
Select appropriate algorithms and models based on the problem and available data
Develop and implement models, fine-tuning parameters, and optimizing performance to achieve the desired outcome
Collaborate with professional service teams to ensure a smooth transition from the PoV to a professional service team
Research and develop new methodologies and techniques to improve the overall effectiveness of risk management
Mine and analyze massive amounts of unique internal and external data to gain deep business knowledge and insight on customer activity and behaviors and their relationships with fraud, and other types of behaviors
Design and analyze experiments to verify product hypothesis and direction
Set worldwide standards for identifying money laundering and terrorism financing events
Hone your NLP and text analysis skills to a master level
Learn from Subject Matter Experts (financial crime, machine learning, software architecture and more)
