About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to work on big data in the maritime industry, using cutting-edge programming features and frameworks. As a Data Scientist, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining high-quality software for our Vessel Position Service solution.
Your Key Responsibilities
• Develop, test, and maintain high-quality software using Python and Databricks.
• Participate in the entire software development lifecycle, building, testing, and deploying high-quality code.
• Develop and maintain tasks for a large-scale data processing pipeline.
• Monitor data ingested, data produced, and pipeline execution.
• Participate in code reviews, ensure code quality and identify areas for improvement to implement practical solutions.
Requirements
• 4+ years of experience as a Python developer with a strong portfolio of projects.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• In-depth understanding of the Python software development stacks, ecosystems, frameworks, and tools such as pyspark, DeltaTable, pyodbc, psycopg2.
• Experience with SQL databases.
Estimated Salary:
$120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience.
