We are looking for a Data Solutions Designer to join our team and help create intuitive, user-friendly interfaces for our product, LEAPS. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design seamless user experiences that empower users to interact with and understand data.

Key Responsibilities:
• Capture Business Requirements: Proactively engage with business stakeholders across various departments to deeply understand their data needs, reporting requirements and analytical objectives and to work on it.
• Data Source Analysis: Conduct thorough analysis of existing data sources (e.g., operational systems, third-party data, spreadsheets) to identify relevant data elements, understand data lineage and assess data quality.
• Logical Data Modelling: Design and document logical data models that accurately represent business entities, dimensions and relationships while ensuring data integrity and consistency.
• Semantic Layer Design: Develop and implement semantic layers that simplify complex data structures for end-users, enabling intuitive self-service reporting and analysis. This includes defining clear business objectives, KPIS and hierarchies.
• SQL Programming & Data Analysis: Utilize strong SQL programming skills to query, analyse and validate data to help support data model design, data quality assessments and ad-hoc data requests.
• Data Governance & Quality: Collaborate with Data engineers to ensure adherence to data standards, promote data quality and contribute to data dictionary development. Work closely with data engineers, BI developers, business analysts and other IT teams to ensure seamless implementation and integration of data solutions.
• Documentation: Create clear documentation for data models, semantic layers, data dictionaries and design decisions.
