Data Virtualization Software Engineer

Job Summary

This role is essentially to architect, design and lead in the integration of all bank data assets using data virtualization solution as a shared data product service to all data consumers of the bank.

Key Responsibilities

· Gather and assess data business requirements (for example regulatory, management reporting, advance analytics, etc.)

· Perform Data Profiling and source to target mapping

· Identify and analyse Data Sources to understand the characteristics, quality and availability of each source

· Define the target state data model for virtualization

· Design all the relevant data business semantic layer

· Architect the bank data virtualization solution based on requirements

· Lead technical discussion on data virtualization

· Address technical concerns and issues on data virtualization

· Build POCs to demonstrate new usage and present them to senior management

· Assist to establish data governance framework

Requirements & Skills

· Have previously implemented with data virtualization technology such as Denodo

· Understand the nature of the all data elements and ability to identify and map to the data sources and data consumers

· Experience in data warehouses modelling and semantic layer definition

· Experience in data profiling

· Experience on Performance Optimization techniques

· Solid understanding on SQL with good knowledge in relational and analytical database management

· Strong in distributed SQL query engine for big data such as Presto

· Experience in Data Warehouse architecture and design in banking environment

· Strong analytical abilities

· Understand fundamentals of Data Catalog management

· Experience in data visualization tools such as OAS (Oracle Analytics Server)/PowerBI/Tableau/Qlik

Mandatory skill

· 5+ years of experience in data virtualization tool such as Denodo

· 2+ years of experience in SQL query engine such as Presto

Nice to have skills

· Exposure to data science technology (Python, Spark, etc.)

Job Type: Contractual / Temporary
Contract length: 12 months

Salary: Up to ₹3,500,000.00 per year
