Minimum qualifications:
• Bachelor degree in Computer Science, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience managing client-facing projects and troubleshooting technical issues.
• Experience with warehouse technologies such as BigQuery, Dataflow, PubSub, GCS, SQL Optimization, Python/Java, etc.
• Experience with SQL and writing software in Java or Python.
Preferred qualifications:
• Google Cloud certification or relevant other Cloud certification.
• Experience designing data warehouse technical architectures and infrastructure components.
• Experience working with ETL/ELT and reporting/analytic tools.
• Experience securing data warehouses in a cloud environment.
• Experience with non-relational platforms and tools for large-scale data processing.
• Experience in technical consulting and working with cross-functional teams and customers.

As a Data Warehouse Optimization Engineer, you will provide exceptional technical guidance to customers adopting Google Cloud Platform services. You will provide best practices on data storage and query optimization, creating data pipelines, managing access to data in the cloud data warehouse and more. You will provide prescriptive guidance in ensuring customers receive the best of what Google Cloud Platform (GCP) can offer and you will ensure that customers have the best experience in migrating, building, modernizing, and maintaining applications in Google Cloud Platform. Additionally, you will work closely with Product Management and Product Engineering to drive excellence in Google Cloud products and features.

Responsibilities
• Provide deep technical expertise on Google Cloud Platforms’ suite of Big Data technologies including BigQuery, Looker, Pub/Sub, Dataflow, Cloud Data Fusion, Cloud Storage, Cloud Composer, and Data Catalog.
• Work with customers to design modern technical architectures and solutions that enable their business objectives.
• Be a trusted technical advisor and resolve technical challenges for customers.
• Create and deliver best practices recommendations, tutorials, blog articles, sample code, and technical presentations adapting to different levels of key business and technical stakeholders.
