We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of a Senior Software Engineer
In this role, you will:
Be expected to define and contribute at a high-level to many aspects of our collaborative Agile development process:
• Bigdata development, automated testing of new and existing components in an Agile, DevOps and dynamic environment
• Working with data delivery teams to setup new Data Xchange Micro Services Applications.
• Establish new IT Centric Applications that provide insight into the status and state of the technology stack for each of system management.
• Executes the diagnosis / assessment / correction of deficiencies within the environment
• Executes the review / acceptance / tuning and ensures environment availability 24x7
• Take end-to-end responsibility of the Data Xchange life cycle.
• Be the bridge between Data Scientists, Engineers, and the organizational needs
• Plan for capacity upgrading or downsizing as and when the need arises
• General operational excellence. This includes good troubleshooting skills, understanding of system’s capacity and bottlenecks. Furthermore, you also need a basic understanding of Micro Service architecture.
Must Haves:
• Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability to a complex environment
• Solid and proficient skills in Java, hands-on on Spring Framework.
• Competency in Web application development using ReactJs, HTML5, JavaScript.
• Experience in developing micro services - using RESTful APIs
• Basic Knowledge of SQL/Postgres
• Understanding Elastic Search connectivity and functionality will be a plus.
• Experience in HDFS/Hive/Spark will be a plus.
• Software development experience and SDLC, Agile & DevOps, CI/CD
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
• Forward thinking, independent, creative, and self-sufficient; who can work with limited documentation, has exposure testing complex multi-tiered integrated applications. Ability to work with minimal supervision on own initiative and on multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Good knowledge on Data warehouse concepts.
• Basic knowledge on scheduling tools.
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Ansible to automate deployment processes and infrastructure provisioning.
• Collaborate with Spark processing designers to build more efficient data processing at a large/massive scale.
• Exposure to Agile Project methodology but also with exposure to other methodologies (such as Kanban)
