Job Description
As a Database and backup admin - you will be working on various database handling tools and manage database security/integrity.Job Responsibilities Experience in handling RDS, MySQL & Cassandra DBOwn Database Design, Development & OperationsDesign & Implement Database Backup Policy to ensure zero data lossDesign & implement Database Backup Recovery strategy as per defined RTO & RPOEnsure 247 Uptime of all Databases & system availability as per SLAPerform regular Data restoration activity from BackupResponsible to write database queries (to fetch reports from database)Managing database accessEnsuring version upgrade & implementing OEM recommendations to keep version up to datePerform regular Patching / OS / Security patches on databases to ensure Security / IT compliancePerform regular Disaster Recovery drills as per company IT PolicyLiaising with programmers, applications/operational staff, IT project managers and other technical staffManaging database security/integrity and backup proceduresEnsure data remains consistent across the databaseManage Critical Incidents, Emergency Roll Out, Releases, P1 Incidents independentlyImplement Automation jobs to avoid manual intervention & Proactive Monitoring and resolution of Critical alertsWork on IT Service Management Tool to Resolve daily Incidents, Service Request as per defined SLADesired skills Expert level knowledge and hands on -experience of RDS, MySQL & Cassandra DB any additional database knowledge be an advantageExperience of managing Mission Critical Production databasesExperience in performing Backup and RestorationExposure to governance, control, and risk managementProven ability to effectively work across teams at all levels proactivelyGood verbal and written communication skillsWork experience: + -10yearsWork during India & UK business hours, 247 availability to perform Critical changes / Incident SupportAWS & Database certifications would be an advantageSHORTDESCRIPTION You will be working on various database handling tools and manage database security/integrity
