Job Title: PostgreSQL Database Administrator
Description:
NTT DATA is a global leader in the IT services industry. We are seeking an experienced PostgreSQL database administrator to join our team in Pune, India. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills and experience working with PostgreSQL databases.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain PostgreSQL databases on Azure, GCP, and AWS RDS platforms
- Implement automated backups, maintenance, and scaling for PostgreSQL databases
- Configure monitoring tools for PostgreSQL on GCP and set up alerts based on performance metrics
- Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies for PostgreSQL databases on AWS RDS/Azure SQL/GCP Cloud SQL
- Ensure database security principles and best practices are followed
Requirements:
- 3+ years of operational experience with PostgreSQL databases
- 1+ year of experience as a cloud DBA on GCP with MongoDB and PostgreSQL
- Experience working in diverse cloud support database environments in a 24/7 production support model
- Strong understanding of database performance tuning and optimization
Preferred Qualifications:
- Azure fundamentals certification (AZ-+00) and Google Cloud Associate Engineer certifications
- B.Tech/BE/MCA degree in Information Technology or equivalent experience
