Position:Database Administrator(DBA)
About Us:
ICT Infracon LLP is seeking a Database Administrator to manage robust and reliable enterprise data management system to support the Data-driven decision-making organization. In this role, you will work as a core member of interdisciplinary teams to deliver data services using Cloud/On-Prem RDBMS, Data Warehouse Solution and Reporting platform to achieve enterprise-wide strategic objectives.
Experience:1-3 Years
Roles & Responsibilities
Build database systems of high availability and quality depending on each end user's specialized role.
Research and suggest new database products, services, and protocols
Ensure database security, integrity, stability, and system availability.
Design and implement database in accordance to end users information needs and views
Define users and enable data distribution to the right user, in an appropriate format, and on time
Use high-speed transaction recovery techniques and backup data
Minimize database downtime and manage parameters to provide fast query responses
Provide proactive and reactive data management support and training to users
Determine, enforce and document database policies, procedures, and standards
Perform tests and evaluations regularly to ensure data security, privacy, and integrity
Monitor database performance, implement changes, and apply new patches and versions when required
Provision database instances, both in clustered and non-clustered configurations
Prepare documentation and specifications
Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders
Develop technical and training manuals
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field
Proven work experience of 5+ years as a Database Administrator
Hands-on experience with database standards and end-user applications
Excellent knowledge of data backup, recovery, security, integrity, and SQL
Previous experience with DBA case tools (frontend/backend) and third-party tools
Problem-solving skills and ability to think algorithmically
Knowledge of de-facto standards and best practices in relational databases like Postgres SQL and MySQL and non-relational databases like MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis etc
Proficient in writing and optimizing SQL statements
Excellent communication skills. Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Ability to plan resource requirements from high-level specifications
Ability to work as part of a team
