Cassandra DBA with AWS
Locations: Hyderabad/Chennai

Job Description:
1. Experience in performing Database administration day to day activities such as database availability, performance tunings, DB deployments, maintenance, upgrade, backup and recovery operations.
2. Configure and maintain Apache/DSE Cassandra DB clusters in on-prem servers or AWS Instances.
3. Upgrade of existing Apache/DSE Cassandra DB to higher version.
4. Experience with Data Migration activities on Cassandra DB.
5. Debugging Issues and fixing on Cassandra DB with Application teams.
6. Adding / Removing Cassandra nodes or the whole DC to existing DC.
7. Working on automating existing system monitoring/creating dashboard using Shell script, AWS CLI Python.
8. Good exposure to AWS architecture and maintaining AWS instances, Auto-Scaling, VPC, S3, cloud watch, cloud formation.
+. Setting Up OpsCenter.
10. Good understanding of certificates, how keystore/truststore works in DB.
11. Good knowledge of Cassandra architechture.
12. Good understanding of Heap, Garbage collection works in DB.
13. Experience in troubleshooting and resolving Jira tickets assigned by different application teams.
14. Good understanding of Elasticsearch, creating Elastic Search index, creating dashboard using index metrices.
15. Should be good in documenting the issues and implementing the best practices to improve the productivity and efficiency
