EFI is looking for a Database Administrator to join our IT Team at our Bangalore office.
As part of the EFI IT team, the Database Administrator will be focused on ensuring optimal 7x 24 performance of existing Database service that integrates with business critical application. This Engineer Should have a strong background in Oracle database 11g /12c/18c/1+c and data warehouses and demonstrated ability to collaborate with other team members located worldwide. The successful candidate will be passionate about ensuring the best customer experience possible.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Monitoring and maintaining the Integration among the applications and the database systems.
Provide database administration support for different types of databases such as MySQL and NoSQL DB.
Providing 24/7 support for critical production databases
Database Administration (Installing, administrating, implementing, and troubleshooting SQL Server 2005,2008 ,2008 R2,2012,2014,2016,2017,2026).
DB backup and recovery models and disaster recovery strategies.
Analyzing, Identifying and Resolving performance issues of the server.
Maintained Database Authentication modes, Creation of user, Configuring permissions and assigHands-ones to users.
Maintaining and configuring Maintenance plans, JOBs, Alerts, DB mail, AWS RDS.
Technical Skills
Expertise in Oracle database 11g /12c/18c/1+c and data warehouses.
Expertise in database performance tuning, Database Cloning
Experience with Database Migration, Installation, Upgrades and Patching. Storage Management Techniques.
Cross platform transportable Tablespaces.
Experience using or managing Windows, Linux or UNIX operating systems
Perform Storage Space management
Database Security Administration
Knowledge of RDBMS concept.
Knowledge of Mysql Database architecture including Installation/Upgrade of Mysql Server Linux environment.
Knowledge in LINUX OS and hands-on experiences in AWS DB services like RDS, Databases running on EC2, and Monitoring of all DB parameters.
Qualifications & Skills
• Bachelor’s Degree (Computer Science or Engineering preferred) or equivalent work experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-learner/self-starter who can be immediately effective with ambiguity or a lack of direction
