Job Description
Responsibilities: • Design, create, and manage the schema for our Telecom application, ensuring efficient data organization and optimal performance.
• Install, configure, and upgrade Oracle database software across various environments, ensuring compatibility and stability.
• Monitor the production database environment to proactively identify and resolve performance issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
• Analyze database performance metrics and query execution plans to optimize application performance and improve response times.
• Collaborate with software development teams to ensure that the database design and schema align with application requirements and best practices.
• Implement and maintain database security measures to protect sensitive data and comply with regulatory standards.
• Plan and execute database backup and recovery strategies, including regular backups and periodic testing of restore procedures.
• Perform database tuning and optimization activities, including index creation, partitioning, and query optimization.
• Investigate and troubleshoot database-related incidents reported by users or system monitoring tools, providing timely resolutions. • Maintain database documentation, including installation procedures, configuration settings, and standard operating procedures.
• Stay updated with the latest Oracle database technologies, tools, and best practices, recommending and implementing improvements where applicable.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
• Work experience of 5 - 8 year.
• Proven experience as an Oracle DBA, with a focus on application and system database management.
• Strong expertise in creating and managing the schema for Telecom applications, including table design, index optimization, and data partitioning.
• In-depth knowledge of Oracle database administration, including installation, configuration, and performance tuning.
• Proficiency in Oracle Database versions 11g, 12c, and 1+c, with experience in Oracle RAC (Real Application Clusters) environments.
• Solid understanding of SQL and PL/SQL, with experience in query optimization and performance tuning.
• Experience with database monitoring and diagnostic tools, such as Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) and Automatic Workload Repository (AWR).
• Familiarity with Oracle Data Guard and Oracle Recovery Manager (RMAN) for database replication and backup/restore operations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly identify and resolve database issues in a production environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Relevant certifications, such as Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or Oracle Certified Expert (OCE), are highly desirable.
